Carolyn McArdle is a dynamic radio personality with an impressive track record of over 30 years of broadcasting in the Bay Area. Currently she and her co-host Cort Johnson host “The Morning Breeze,” weekday mornings from 6am-10am on top-rated 98.1 The Breeze.
Carolyn’s other passion is baseball, where she serves as the Public Address Announcer for the San Francisco Giants.
After graduating from San Francisco State University, Carolyn launched her radio career working on Star 101.3 where she was also co-host and Executive Producer of "The Don Bleu Morning Show".
With a passion for live audiences and sports, she jumped into Public Address Announcing for Stanford University, UOP, Santa Clara University, USF and is currently the on-field PA Announcer for Cal Football. After serving as the voice of the Sacramento River Cats (SF Giants MiLB team) for many seasons, Carolyn gets most excited watching her former River Cats players get called up to the majors. She says that one of her favorite things to announce at Oracle Park is “Making his Major League debut….” “It’s impossible to not have a smile on my face when I’m calling a player to the plate or to the mound for their first appearance in the majors and seeing them smile when they hear me announce their name. It’s an incredible feeling,” Carolyn said.
With a love for interviewing people, Carolyn also has a podcast called “Talk To Me with Carolyn McArdle” on the iHeart Radio app where she interviews her favorite celebrities and gets unique insights from people like Ann Wilson, Mick Fleetwood, Carol Burnett and more.
Carolyn also emcees events all over the Bay Area for various corporations and charities.
Born in Illinois, Carolyn has lived and worked in the East Bay for most of her life. She's a huge fan of Bay Area sports, the outdoors and spending time with her friends and family and her Golden Retriever, Perk.
